Permalink 140 years ago, beginning with the docking of the Black Ships in Japan, the Edo Era came to an end and entered the Bakumatsu, a period marked by chaos and violence.
During this upheaval, a man known as Hitokiri Battousai emerged.
As one of the most important hitokiris of the time, his sword paved the way for the Meiji Era.
With the passing of time, he became a legend, known simply as “the strongest.”
However, at the conclusion of the bloodshed, he disappeared.
And so our story begins…
In the eleventh year of the Meiji Era in Tokyo…
