apophenic dreams.

"Love anything and your heart will be wrung and possibly broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact you must give it to no one, not even an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements. Lock it up safe in a casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket, safe, dark, motionless, airless, it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable. To love is to be vulnerable."

- C.S. Lewis

Viva La Vida by Coldplay - Classical cover by Aston

Text below taken from here:

‘Classical pop’ could be a whole new genre of music in the making, if this group of twenty-somethings have anything to do with it. Challenging the traditional sound of both classical and pop music with their cinematic interpretations of songs like La Roux’s Bulletproof and Lady Gaga’s Telephone, these graduates from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music exude the presence of down-to-earth pop artists than the somewhat stuffy image of black ties and ball gowns normally associated with classical music.

Daniel (percussion), Hanna (cello), Eliza (violin), Michael (violin), Will (guitar) and Ella (piano) bonded over their passion for not wanting to follow the traditional classical path at the Conservatorium of Music, Sydney and have created a collection of astounding renditions of some of their favourite current pop hits with their immense talent, skill, and love of classical instruments. Young people who have never had an interest in classical music before love hearing their favourite pop songs in a new light, and older people, who have never heard the originals before, enjoy Aston’s cinematic vibe.
